  • The new chairman of ISRO, Narayanan, is a senior member of ISRO who has been instrumental in the organization for several decades. He joined ISRO in 1984 and has significantly contributed to the Polar Satellite Launch Vehicle (PSLV) program and the development of liquid propulsion systems.
  • Prior to his appointment as ISRO’s chairman, V. Narayanan served as the Director of the Liquid Propulsion Systems Centre (LPSC), a critical unit of ISRO responsible for developing propulsion systems for rockets and spacecraft.
