ISRO rolls out GSLV-F15

- It will launch from the Second Launch Pad (SLP) at Satish Dhawan Space Centre.
- NVS-02 will help improve NavIC’s services.
- NavIC, short for Navigation with Indian Constellation, is India’s own regional satellite navigation system.
- Developed by: Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO)
- Coverage: Covers India and a region extending 1,500 km around it, with plans for further extension up to 3,000 km.
- Purpose: Provides accurate real-time positioning and timing services.
- Constellation: Consists of a constellation of eight satellites, with two additional satellites on ground as stand-by.

- Independence: Provides India with an independent navigation system, reducing reliance on foreign systems like GPS.
