Objectives of NAKSHA Project

• Identify and map hazardous zones (earthquakes, floods, landslides, etc.).
• Use AI and geospatial technology for real-time monitoring.
• Assist urban planning and infrastructure development in high-risk areas.
• Improve disaster response and mitigation strategies.

The NAKSHA Pilot Project is an initiative under the Department of Land Resources, which operates within the Ministry of Rural Development, Government of India. This project is part of the Digital India Land Records Modernization Programme (DILRMP) and aims to create and update land records in urban areas. The Survey of India serves as the technical partner for this initiative.
