Special Courts for Crimes Against Women

• 7 Special Courts have been established to handle crimes against women in the following locations:
  • Chennai
  • Madurai
  • Coimbatore
  • Trichy
  • Salem
  • Tirunelveli
  • Areas around Chennai (to ensure coverage of neighbouring regions).

Committee for Women’s Safety

• A committee under the head of the Additional Superintendent of Police (ASP) has been set up in each district to address and monitor crimes against women more effectively.

Allocation for Urban Local Roads

• A total of ₹3,750 crores has been allocated for the development and maintenance of urban local roads to improve infrastructure and connectivity in urban areas.
