- Breeding Waterfowl: Spot-billed Duck, Lesser Whistling Duck, Red-crested Pochard.
- Winter Migrants: Bar-headed Goose, Common Teal.

- Primarily rain-fed.
- Additional sources: Hawalia drain (connected to Hindan River) & Tilapta minor irrigation canal.
