The “Tamil Mamani” award in 2025 is a prestigious recognition given to individuals who have made significant contributions to the Tamil community abroad, and will be presented on “World Tamil Diaspora Day” which is scheduled for January 12, 2025, in Chennai, India.
This award is part of a larger event celebrating the achievements of the Tamil diaspora globally.
Tamil Nadu government has handed over ‘Tamil Mamani’ award to Vijay Janakiraman who was instrumental in setting up the Tamil Chair in Harvard University. The Best Cultural Ambassador Award was given to Krishnakanthan Sandeep from Sri Lanka.
