Published on: April 14, 2025
- Under the Tamil Nadu Irrigated Agriculture Modernisation Project (TNIAMP), the TANUVAS Grand supplement was distributed free of cost to over 19,000 farmers.
- This supplement is specially designed to reduce methane emissions from cattle and enhance digestion.
- It works by promoting the growth of beneficial microorganisms in the cow’s first stomach (rumen).
- As a result, methane emissions are reduced by 25–30 litres per cow per day, contributing to environmental protection.
- Farmers using the supplement have observed improved milk yield and higher dung production, boosting both income and productivity.
