3. National Food Technology Institute:
• Location: Bihar
• Focus: Support food processing exports, enhance value addition, agri-exports, and create jobs.
4. Extension for Handicrafts Exports:
• Duration for export of handicrafts from duty-free inputs extended to one year, further extendable by 3 months.
5. Maritime Services Trade Deficit:
• India’s trade deficit in maritime services is about $50 billion.Efforts to develop Indian shipping lines to address this deficit.
• Ship-building Financial Assistance Policy: Revamped, including credit notes for ship-breaking to support a circular economy.
• Maritime Development Fund: ₹25,000 crore for long-term industry growth with 49% government contribution.
6. Support for Domestic Manufacturing:
• Aimed at integrating India into global supply chains by supporting domestic manufacturing capacities.
7. Infrastructure Development:
• Upgrading infrastructure and warehousing for air cargo, especially for high-value perishable horticulture produce.
8. Support for Services Sector:
• Focus on tourism and financial services.
• National Framework for Global Capability Centres: Promoting centres in tier-two cities focusing on talent, infrastructure, and regulatory reforms.
