
- Launched on 1st July 2015 with the slogan Har Khar Ko Pani, Pradhan Mantri Krishi Sinchayee Yojana (PMKSY) is being implemented to expand the area under cultivation with assured irrigation, reduce water wastage and improve water use efficiency.
- PMKSY not only focuses on creating sources for assured irrigation but also creates conservation irrigation by utilizing rainwater on a micro scale through “Jal Sanjay” and “Jal Sinchan”.
- Micro irrigation is also being promoted through subsidy to ensure “one drop-more crop”
